Baking Up a Storm!

This past weekend I baked up a storm.

I made a birthday cake for my 7 year old neighbor, it was in a shape of a lego. Also, I made my famous Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies, which everyone raved about.  Then I tried a new idea, Cake Batter Rice krispies, those turned out pretty good! They are both pictured on the right.


Then I made Oreo truffle brownies, they were okay the brownie part of it was a little dry.  I also did my special too, 5 dozen mini vanilla cupcakes with vanilla & chocolate frosting.
Let me just say, by the end of the weekend, the kitchen had frosting, flour, and sugar everywhere!
I shall be baking again soon, and like always I can't wait!

German Chocolate Cake

I successfully created a delicious and moist German Chocolate Cake for my boyfriend's mother & brother.  It took awhile to create it.  But the end product was well worth all of the ingredients and time.  It originally makes one four layer cake, but I created it in to 2 different 2 layered cakes. Here is a picture of one of them!

The Work Adventure

I work at my local country club.  So today I made over 200 complementary mini vanilla cupcakes for the friday night dinner.  They were a hit! I did this to get my name out more to the public and have a real kitchen experience.  It was great fun & I would definitely do it again. 

Also, tomorrow I will be tackling my first German Chocolate Cake so tune in for that!
